Like you, on my old Intel Mac, Homebrew has OpenSSL at /usr/local/opt/openssl which is a symlink to (I'm unsure how up-to-date that one is). Here's the relavent output: Checking for system ssl.noĬhecking for ssl in /opt/homebrew/opt/openssl.ok configure, Homebrew's OpenSSL install is found at /opt/homebrew/opt/openssl. I can confirm that your check-in (Fossil 2.15, 17af40efff) works as expected. Fossil's build system will seek it out and use it automatically. we recomend that you use Homebrew on macOS to install OpenSSL as above. I'm filing this as a bug because the Fossil SSL wiki mentions: configure -with-openssl=/opt/homebrew/opt/openssl configure, yielded the following SSL checks: Checking for system ssl.noĬhecking for ssl in /usr/local/opt/openssl.no Homebrew now installs to /opt/homebrew for macOS on Apple Silicon and continues to use /usr/local for macOS on Intel. I ran into this issue when trying to build Fossil (version 2.15, 324154e821) on a new M1 Mac Mini (Big Sur, macOS 11.2). Add the following snippet at around line 1560, right under the entry for “ darwin64-x86_64-cc”.The build script fails to check for SSL in /opt/homebrew/opt/openssl which seems to be the default location when installing OpenSSL via Homebrew on Apple Silicon (M1) Macs. Having extracted the OpenSSL sources (be sure extract it into a separate location than the one you’ve used to build the Intel portion), then modify file Configurations/10.nf to add the macOS arm64 build configuration. However the arm64 portion requires changes to OpenSSL’s build configuration as the macOS build of the instruction set is not currently supported by the library. # Specify minimum deployment target as needed by your appīy the time make completes, you should get four files that comprises of the static and dynamic libraries of OpenSSL. Pay special attention on the arguments to the Configure script. Optionally set the macOS deployment target if you need your app to run on earlier versions of the operating system. You need to extract the OpenSSL sources into a dedicated folder for the architecture, run configure and then make. openssl-1.1.1g-arm64 – for the ARM build.īuilding the x86_64 portion would be straight-forward since this is currently supported by OpenSSL 1.1.1g. In this article I’m going to assume that you are going to extract OpenSSL sources into sibling folders with the following names: Join results of the two together to create a Universal Library.
Those require copious cubic absorption volumes to be addressed effectively. Whilst acoustic treatments can clean some of it up, the worst offenders are room modes across the three bass octaves. There was a bit of fortune for Inter’s second in the 74th. Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante got the last touch on the ball as he desperately tried to keep it from going in but the goal was awarded to Dimarco. Denzel Dumfries ran onto a fantastic Marcelo Brozović throughball and whipped in a cross from the right that Federico Dimarco fired in from a tricky angle. Inter broke the deadlock in Rome in the 33rd minute. It has also conceded just one goal in that run. Inter Milan recorded its fifth consecutive win in all competitions. Milan doubled its lead in stunning fashion in the 29th when Hernández collected a pass inside his own area from goalkeeper Mike Maignan and raced almost the whole length of the field before unleashing a shot into the top right corner. Lazio defender Nicolò Casale attempted to pass out from his area but Bennacer stole the ball and played a one-two with Olivier Giroud before firing past Ivan Provedel. Milan nevertheless took the lead six minutes later. Leão limped off in the 11th minute shortly after pulling up and clutching the top of his right thigh. The two Milan clubs meet in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals on Wednesday. He stopped in time, he was very calm and that gives me good hope.”Ītalanta and Roma were five points below fourth-placed Inter. “I don’t think it’s serious but we’ll evaluate it tomorrow. “What was important was to play well and we did that even without Leão. “I’m happy with the performance and for the win, it was too important a match for us,” Milan coach Stefano Pioli said. Milan was one point behind Inter and Juventus, which plays at Atalanta on Sunday. Milan closed the gap to second-placed Lazio to three points after an Ismaël Bennacer strike and a stunning Théo Hernandez goal. The Rossoneri could be counting the cost of that match, however, as key forward Rafael Leão limped off injured just four days before the Champions League semifinal. Inter Milan won at Roma 2-0, shortly after AC Milan beat Lazio by the same scoreline. MILAN (AP) - Both Milan teams remained in the Serie A fight to qualify for next season’s Champions League ahead of their showdown in this season’s competition. This means for players who want the extra depth in game-planning they can fixate on tactics like stick or poke checking, or diving into shots, to neutralize players who are gifted at making plays at high speed, or at shot accuracy with a one-timer. ‘My girls always ask, ‘Hey, who’s that player?’’ Superstar X-Factors are one way to answer. We want to make sure with a team-based game, especially where it ties into chemistry, with Be a Pro, that you have multiple options to counter an offensive ability with your defense.” We wanted to introduce a kind of new layer of strategy that was unique to hockey, in terms of how you counter set abilities. So, we don’t look at how you counter abilities in the same way. “Hockey is a flow game, where things can change on a dime, and it’s a really high-speed game. “We have to make it make sense for hockey, right?” Kwong said. Kwong said NHL 22 developers are going for the same differentiation with their virtual player population, but promises that they’re not making a strict copy of what their colleagues at EA Tiburon have done in American football. Madden NFL introduced the concept two years ago as a way to make stars appear and play more like stars. Superstar X-Factors are being threaded into every mode of NHL 22, in Be a Pro as well as Hockey Ultimate Team, the team-control Franchise mode, and World of Chel, the online multiplayer suite that debuted in 2018. “That’s an example of something that we can now do in the mode.”Ĭombined with the first-time inclusion of Superstar X-Factors - boosts and traits available to created players and the league’s top 150 stars - Kwong reasons that Be a Pro for NHL 22 will offer stronger, more RPG-like appeal to building up a character and sticking with them over multiple seasons. Louis in 2019, signed with Tampa Bay as a free agent for 2020, and won rings with the Lightning in each of the past two seasons. “So, like, winning multiple division awards,” Kwong elaborated, “you take a player like Pat Maroon these past couple of seasons, he’s probably living the dream as a player, winning multiple cups on multiple teams.” Maroon won a Stanley Cup in St. “We saw a big opportunity to really fill in that gap with new content, and challenges that take longer and have longer form,” Clement Kwong, NHL 22’s lead producer, told Polygon last week. Our review of NHL 21 found that a lot of its appeal was limited to the player’s rookie year, a disappointment for fans of one of the series’ most popular modes.īe a Pro in NHL 22 will pack in new storylines and career goals, as if to specifically answer that criticism. It’s all about making NHLers more true to life and I think EA has accomplished that.NHL 21’s Be a Pro mode might have been more accurately called “Be a Rookie.” Granted, EA Vancouver overhauled the single-player career fantasy, but the enjoyment was short-lived. Every jersey is now delivered in high-res where every stitch is visible. There is now life-life textures to the jerseys. Skin and eye shading all received significant upgrades. Over 100 player head models have been re-built from the ground up according to EA. Players just seem a little more life-like thanks to the new hardware capabilities of the new engine. Yet this is unquestionably a step in the right direction. Granted, with a new engine, we anticipate new glitches. The way the boards reflect off the ice is pretty slick and it’s fantastic how all the light sources are authentic to the various NHL arenas. Based on the short gameplay clips and screenshots we witnessed, the improved lighting is noticeable and the ice looks more lifelike than ever. The engine will be used in both current and last-gen consoles, which is also a nice little bonus. What does this mean for the NHL franchise? In short better visuals across the board. EA Sports is now all-in on the Frostbite engine following the footsteps of Madden and FIFA. The first step is changing all of my system audio output go to Soundflower 64. Soundflower creates two “virtual audio sources”, one is called Soundflower 2 and the other Soundflower 64, and these can be routed to other applications. You have in your system sound control, and ability to select audio sources for your audio inputs (internal microphone, USB headset etc) and outputs (speakers or headphones). The thing that makes it work as an OS X add-on called Soundflower. These are the things I needed to coordinate I need to on top of the screen action, both my voice and anything I play back as an example in Audacity.īecause of my ds106 Radio machinations, I have a piece of free software to do the kind of mixing needed- Ladiocast (which oddly has disappeared from the Apple App Store). The secret weapon is QuickTime Player which has a build in ability to record screen activity (no fancy shmancy Camtasia arrows and editing, but basic record and save) So I wanted to get a setup with I could record it all. What I did was run a screen recording on my laptop and at the same time recorded the audio on my iPad.Īgain, this ended up with me doing post editing in iMovie to put them together. By the way, if you want to record desktop or onscreen activities on your Mac, you can try Aiseesoft Mac Screen Recorder as well. But I did not really want to do more post editing for a screencast.įor the first demo this week, it was in person in the Open Learning Lab. Now, you know how to record internal audio on your Mac, right? Go and try it yourself. You can check that out on the Recording history of Aiseesoft Mac Screen Recorder. Then, you’re available to listen to the audio you just record, you can trim it too.Ĭlick Save, the audio file will be stored on the Mac. When you finish your recording, click Stop or press Ctrl + Cmd + S. A process bar will appear, you can see the time of your audio file, you can pause the recording if there is anything you don’t want to capture. In this way, the software will only capture the sound coming from the system.Ĭlick REC, or press the default hotkey Ctrl + Cmd + S on your clipboard to start recording. On Audio Recorder, you need to turn on the System Sound option and turn off the Microphone option. This rhythmic form, as described by Paul Westermeyer, was “a secure and jubilant textual dance that trips up the foe.” Westermeyer goes on to describe the isometric version we’re all used to as “a partisan battle cry that mistakenly turned Luther’s energetic paradox (a fortress moves and fights for us) into immobile stasis” ( Let the People Sing, 59). This tune of Luther’s EIN FESTE BURG, was, like most tunes written around the time, originally scored in rhythmic form, which can be found in Psalter Hymnal 468. Luther reminds us that we can’t simply sit back and watch as horrible things unfold in our world, but that we must join the battle, knowing that God is on our side, and that we fight for a side that has, in a sense, already won. That sounds very dramatic and almost cliché, but it is important to remember. Whether we believe in very real, physical demons and tempters, or less concrete forces, we are in the midst of a very real war between good and evil. However, this text also needs to be understood in terms of a spiritual struggle against the powers of darkness. There is a case for arguing that we need to see this hymn in light of the history in which it was written, when Christians were fighting to defend their faith. The text is full of battle imagery this, coupled with the historic use of the hymn in actual battles, can be troubling for Christians who struggle with making sense of warfare. The most commonly used English version is a translation by Frederick H. Luther wrote this text sometime between 15 as a paraphrase of Psalm 46, though stanza four comes directly from Luther’s own persecution experience. In any time of need, when we do battle with the forces of evil, God is our fortress to hide us and protect us, and the Word that endures forever will fight for us. The text is not restricted, however, to times of actual physical battles. As you can see, this is a hymn close to the hearts of Protestants and Lutherans, a source of assurance in times of duress and persecution. Albert Bailey writes, “It was, as Heine said, the Marseillaise of the Reformation…It was sung in the streets…It was sung by poor Protestant emigres on their way to exile, and by martyrs at their death…Gustavus Adolphus ordered it sung by his army before the battle of Leipzig in 1631…Again it was the battle hymn of his army at Lutzen in 1632…It has had a part in countless celebrations commemorating the men and events of the Reformation and its first line is engraved on the base of Luther’s monument at Wittenberg…An imperishable hymn! Not polished and artistically wrought but rugged and strong like Luther himself, whose very words seem like deeds” ( The Gospel in Hymns, 316). Many stories have been relayed about its use. This hymn is often referred to as “the battle hymn” of the Reformation. The closing line of the text provides much comfort: "God's truth abideth still his kingdom is forever!" "Earthly powers" in stanza four undoubtedly referred to the Roman Catholic authorities of Luther's day, but modern Christians may identity other "powers" that oppose the rule of Christ. The text expresses trust in God's protection amidst the battle that Christians wage against the devil. Stanzas 1-3 of the original text were inspired by Psalm 46 stanza 4 arose directly from Luther's persecution experience. He is remembered primarily for his translation of Luther's famous hymn. His original hymns and translations were published in Hymns for the Church of Christ (1853), which he compiled with F. A respected transcendentalist and a famous German scholar, he published the monumental Prose Writers of Germany 0848). Hedge served congregations in Maine, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts, and taught church history at Harvard Divinity School (1857-1876) and German literature at Harvard University (1872-1884). Educated at Harvard University and Divinity School, he became a Unitarian minister in 1829. Between the ages of twelve and sixteen he was in Germany, where he studied German literature. Hedge was a precocious child who read Latin and Greek classics at an early age. Hedge's translation, which closely follows Luther's words, is the one usually found in North American hymnals. Cambridge, 1890) it was published in Furness's Gems of German Verse (1852) and in Hymns for the Church of Christ (1853), a hymnal edited by Hedge and Frederick Huntington. This English translation of Luther's German text is by Frederick H. See PHH 468 for a brief history of the original text and tune. 3 And though this world, with devils filled, |
